Contractors and consultants: first steps

Contractors and consultants

Adelaide University partners with contractors and consultants to help deliver safe, high-quality facilities that support our strategic goals. To work on campus, all contractors must complete a registration and induction process before starting any work.

What you need to do:

The Company Administrator should email the following details to facilitiessupport@adelaide.edu.au to request registration of your company:

  • Legal company name
  • Company contact person (the Company Administrator who will manage inductions)
  • Contact person’s email address and phone number
  • Name of the Adelaide University staff member engaging your services

The Company Administrator will receive an invitation to register via the MyRapid Portal.

If the email doesn’t arrive, contact Rapid Induct Client Services on 1800 307 595 or email support@rapidglobal.com

Once registered, the Company Administrator must verify their email address to activate the MyRapid Portal account.

Log in at my.rapidglobal.com and select Administrator to manage inductees and update company details.

If you already have an account, log in and select Rapid Contractor, then choose Adelaide University.

The Company Administrator must send each worker an induction link and password via the MyRapid Portal.

All workers must complete the Adelaide University Contractor Induction at least 48 hours before attending site.

Inductions are valid for 12 months. A reminder email will be sent 30 days before expiry.

It’s the worker’s responsibility to stay compliant. The Company Administrator must deactivate any workers who no longer need access.

Once the induction is complete, workers will be issued a digital contractor ID card, which allows them to work on site and access certain buildings. Cards will be issued within 48 hours.

If urgent building access is needed, contact your Adelaide University representative to discuss options.

Important: All workers must be able to show a valid contractor ID card while on site. If the induction expires, the digital card will be deactivated.

Tools and applications

Only select principal facilities management contractors are issued an A-number, which provides access to the AU Services Hub, where you’ll find university-specific systems, tools and information to support your work. This is managed by the relevant service provider’s contract administrator.
