The Corporate portfolio comprises enabling functions that play a pivotal role in supporting Adelaide University’s vision. Our focus is ensuring high quality, efficient, and impactful services that align with strategic objectives. The Corporate portfolio enables success across teaching, research, and operations through expert support in technology, finance, data, infrastructure, risk, and compliance.

We provide tools, systems, and advice that ensures the University makes informed decisions, manages resources wisely, and delivers on its strategic goals. Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Corporate

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor provides executive administration, governance and strategic support to enable effective Portfolio operations. It manages key projects and initiatives that drive collaboration across Portfolios and advance University priorities. The Office also leads the development and implementation of the University’s sustainability strategy, supporting long-term institutional resilience and impact.

Finance

The Finance function provides strategic financial advice to allow effective decision making, financial reporting for compliance and governance, management reporting, procurement services and transactional finance processes. Supported by Finance Business Partners who provide tailored advice to Colleges and Portfolios, this function underpins the University’s ability to deliver high-quality education and research outcomes. 

Performance Data and Insights

Performance Data and Insights (PDI) delivers Business Intelligence, Forecasting and Performance, and Information Governance services that enable evidence-based decision-making across the University. PDI helps the University manage its information and maximise its value through well-curated tools and datasets, self-service resources, staff portal requests, and embedded College Office partnerships.

Estates and Facilities

Estates and Facilities is the central function for Adelaide University’s facilities and building assets across all campuses. We ensure the University can meet its physical needs, focusing on space efficiency, campus planning, building projects, sustainability and pro-active services. These include security, maintenance, cleaning, groundskeeping, and more, to ensure world-class facilities that deliver exceptional educational and research environments for our students and staff.

Information Technology (IT)

The IT function underpins teaching, learning, research and operations across the University. We deliver secure, scalable digital infrastructure and enterprise platforms. We protect information and digital services while providing responsive, user-centred support. By aligning technology with the University’s goals of innovation, access and impact, IT enables modern learning environments, research excellence, and seamless experiences for staff and students.

Legal

Legal advises University staff on a range of legal issues that arise from the University's diverse learning, teaching and research endeavours and are authorised to receive and respond to legal notices on behalf of the University.

Risk

The Risk function helps achieve Adelaide University’s strategic and operational objectives by by supporting the identification and management of risks to inform optimal decision-making, business continuity and compliant delivery. We safeguard staff and students, reputation, assets and activities through the provision of expert advice and developing risk awareness.

Integrity

Integrity is a centralised unit where individuals, including staff and students, can raise complaints or disclosures about conduct concerns, including Gender-based Violence and Sexual Harm, in a safe, confidential and supportive environment. This function also undertakes prevention, training and education activities designed to eliminate Gender-based Violence in the University.
