Adelaide University officially became part of the Adelaide city streetscape with a commemorative plaque unveiled on North Terrace.

Chancellor Pauline Carr and Vice Chancellor Professor Nicola Phillips were joined by the Premier of South Australia the Honourable Peter Malinuaskas MP and the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science the Honourable Joe Szakacs MP, along with senior leaders and members of our University community to mark the occasion.

A permanent record of our official establishment and opening, it reflects the beginning of a lasting legacy within the social and cultural fabric of our State.

Symbolically located, the plaque has been placed between the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building and Bradley Building as two iconic buildings that represent both of our remarkable foundation institutions and the future of contemporary education, research and innovation.
