Sixteen Adelaide University students will gain valuable global perspectives and networks, as the successful recipients of the 2026 New Colombo Plan (NCP) Scholarship.

The federal government initiative supports Australian undergraduate students to undertake study, language training, internships and work in the Indo-Pacific region, deepening international connections.

Students have the opportunity to engage in scholarship study for up to one year with over 40 eligible host locations from Japan to the Maldives.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and External Engagement at Adelaide University, Professor Jessica Gallagher, commended the students on their achievement.

“I congratulate each of our students on earning a 2026 New Colombo Plan Scholarship,” Professor Gallagher said.

“This scholarship opens doors for deep academic engagement overseas, meaningful cultural exchange and the development of lifelong global networks.
