About me

Professor Sheridan Gentili is the Director, Academic Quality and Integrity at Adelaide University and holds a substantive appointment in the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. A senior academic leader with two decades of experience in higher education, she specialises in academic quality assurance, academic integrity, assessment reform, and large‑scale educational innovation.

Sheridan leads the University’s institutional strategy for academic quality and integrity, overseeing policy, governance, regulatory compliance, and whole‑of‑university frameworks that ensure academic standards, strengthen institutional capability, and support a culture of integrity. Her portfolio spans academic policy, academic risk, data‑enabled quality assurance, and work integrated learning.

Prior to joining Adelaide University, Sheridan served as Director of the Teaching Innovation Unit (UniSA), where she led institution‑wide initiatives in authentic assessment, curriculum transformation, academic integrity, digital learning, and teaching quality. She authored UniSA’s first Academic Integrity Strategy (2022–2025), led the redevelopment of academic integrity systems and processes, and has been nationally recognised for her leadership in assessment design and integrity management.

She holds a PhD in Physiology and a Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics, along with qualifications in governance, risk, and change management. Sheridan’s leadership is characterised by a commitment to integrity, evidence‑informed practice, collegiality, and building academic cultures that support innovation, excellence, and student success.
